About Us Hair World Salon is friends working together! Shari Whitt loves to make people feel and look good. “I’ve always loved doing hair,” she says, noting that she has expanded that love to helping those who may be facing the loss of their own hair due to cancer treatments. Shari also knows all about wigs. She has more than 30 of them. “I’ve been wearing them for the last 18 years because I don’t have the time to fix my hair,” she says. “It saves me an hour every morning.” In fact, Shari was a customer of HairWorld Salon of Beauty when its owner said it was for sale. Shari and her sister-in-law, Sheila Dexter, purchased the salon in April 2006. For Shari, it was a return her first career, which had always been her favorite. Dot Cobb, who has worked at the salon for 11 of its 37 years and can work miracles with wigs, and Cassie Smith, who is relatively new to the industry, join Shari and Sheila in the salon. All four have a common goal. “We just want our clients to be really happy with our service and our products,” Shari says. “We want them to feel much better when they leave.”
